Why is my Rapid no longer discharging oil?
- There is no more oil in the machine
- The belt does not reach the cooling lubricant and the contamination
Why is my Rapid no longer discharging oil even though there is still oil in it and it is reaching it?
Skimmers and belts are always the same starting materials. What changes are the cooling lubricants and the cause of the belt discharging less tramp oil is the contamination introduced. The contamination is made up of chemical substances.
A thin layer of chemical compounds is deposited on the belt, which is only removed very slowly by the scraper. In many cases, it is possible to slowly remove the contamination from the belt and thus discharge it from the cooling lubricant. As a result, the usual discharge rate is achieved again after some time.
In other cases, the thin layer cannot be removed even with our improved wiping. It is then necessary to remove the belt, wash off the layer of chemical compounds with household detergent and reinsert it. This may be sufficient the first time, which is often the case. In the rarest of cases, the process must be repeated several times to remove the chemical composition from the medium.
