Refractometer value
An important factor in checking the concentration of your emulsion is the refractometer value! Find out how to use it here.
The concentration of the cooling lubricant emulsion is normally measured using a refractometer. However, the refractometer only measures
the refractive index of the sample. To obtain the concentration in %, the value read must be multiplied by a “refractometer value”
. This value is specified by the manufacturer of the cooling lubricant (in the safety data sheet of the cooling lubricant).
Reading value x refractometer value = concentration
Example of a measurement (refractometer value 1.5):

Reading value 5.0 x refractometer value 1.5 = concentration 7.5 %
When setting the desired concentration on the Misceo, this refractometer value should not be taken into account. The required
concentration in % must be entered directly here.
Example input Misceo:

required concentration 7.5 % = input Misceo 7.5 %
